Christmas Gift Guide

While books are always at the top of our recommendations for Christmas gifts , we also have a lovely selection of curated non-book items available here at The Reading Room.

All products featured are made by small businesses as we are a big believer in supporting our fellow small business owners.

Ella Fletcher Designs

The beautiful ceramic mugs made by Ella Fletcher have always been popular with our customers (and myself!) and this year we have added her ceramic coasters to our collection.

We absolutely adore the colours and designs of Ella’s ceramics and there is nothing better than curling up with a good book while enjoying a cup of coffee in one of her handmade mugs.

Luckie Beans Coffee

Speaking of coffee, we are thrilled to stock Luckie Beans Coffee this year, which is also available in our Coffee Gift Box.

Luckie Beans are based in the Scottish Borders and have won a number of awards for their coffee.

A cup of Luckie Beans coffee on Christmas morning will be a great way to kick start the day!

The Colourful Edit

If you’re looking to add some colour to your life, check-out The Colourful Edit which is based in Galashiels.

We stock their fantastic keyrings which are a great wee gift for a stocking filler or a secret santa.

Pigeon Post

What can we say about Pigeon? Customers fall in love them and come back for more!

Inspired by origami, Pigeon is a beautiful combination of letter and envelope. These make such a wonderful gift for those who love to write letters and send notes to loved ones.

Gold Moss Candles

There’s something special about having a candle lit and Gold Moss know how to make beautifully scented candles.

Gold Moss is based up in Tain and when I discovered them, I just loved everything about them! They plant a tree for every candle sold, the candles are hand poured using a soy wax and the aromas are exquisite.

We have a selection available in the shop and you’ll find the Vintage Books scent in our Candle Gift Box.
