Review of Utterly Dark and the Heart of the Wild

Utterly Dark and the Heart of the Wild by Philip Reeve

One of our young reviewers chose Utterly Dark and the Heart of the Wild by Philip Reeve to review this month, here’s what they had to say -

Utterly Dark and the Heart of the Wind  is for adventurous readers who are looking for something with a bit of spice.

This book has a few twists, it is a great story for kids aged between 7 and 14 years.

When Uncle Will was invited to Summertide by Mr Inshaw, Utterly came too, along with Egg. (🥚who is not an egg!). But when Utterly left Wildsea  she did not expect to get dragged on another adventure. Utterly must save Uncle Will’s life, but will it risk her own? To save her Uncle, Utterly has to tramp through a bone-rattling scary forest run by the mysterious Hunter…

Can Utterly pull off this feat?
